Violinist Noa Wildschut (2001) started taking violin lessons with Coosje Wijzenbeek when she was 4 years old. As a 6-year-old she soloed at the “Kinderprinsengracht Concert” and at the age of 7 she made her debut in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Noa studied with Vera Beths at the Amsterdam Conservatory and then at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. She attended various master classes and lessons with, among others, Ivry Gitlis, Jaap van Zweden, Menahem Pressler and Anner Bijlsma. Noa has won many prizes, including first prize in the International Violin Competition Louis Spohr 2010, first prize during the Iordense Violin Days 2012 and the Concertgebouw Young Talent Award 2013. In 2017 she received the Kersjesviool grant.

Over the years, Noa has built up a fine track record and is a much sought-after guest for festivals, recitals and solo performances at home and abroad. She collaborates with numerous orchestras and conductors from all over the world.

Noa plays a violin by Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù, known as the “Lady Stretton”, provided by a member of the Stretton Society, with a Dominique Peccatte bow provided by the National Musical Instruments Fund from the Tettelaar collection.
